Nineteen Hours in Napa
Stephane and I are very skilled at tacking on a little fun to work trips. I mean heck, if you are going to fly to Chicago or Milan for work, stay a while! There is so much to see!
Last week we took off to our other favorite coast: the west one. We had coverage for our kids, so we planned to max out our free time. We landed in San Francisco at 11:39am and were having
bloody marysbrunch at the Boon Fly Cafe in Napa by 1pm. Like I said, skilled. -

Ask a French girl
It's rainy here in NYC today, and chilly to boot. This basically makes us want to close shop and head home to fire up a movie and start happy hour a little early. I found this advice from Man Repeller perfect for a day like this! Wine advice from a French girl. Oui Oui.
While we are on the subject of French drinking... I always find when we are lazing in a French cafe, that I am always overwhelmed by the desire to bottle up the ambience and experience and bring it home. The romance, the joie de vivre, the simple sexiness of it all. Alas, back home things are not quite as ooh la la. However! I have found those adorable drinking glasses that are in every bistro within a stone's throw of the Seine. Here's where you can score your own Picardie glassware.
Lastly, If you ask a million people which is their favorite bistro in Paris, you will get a million different answers. So here is ours: Le Comptoir in the 6th Arr. It is always charming, truly delicious, and some of the best people watching I have ever experienced. Go early, or have an afternoon snack at their casual L'Avant Comptoir next door. You can't miss.
